BEHIND THE LENS

I took up photography in 1972 and it has been a life long passion ever since. As the saying goes, "a picture (or in this case a photo) is worth a thousand words". I strive to tell a person's story through their portraits. I take a very personal approach to portraiture photography. Portraits should reflect the personality of person, something that cannot be done with standard "cookie cutter" poses. I will do portraits either in a the studio or on location to best suit the client.

I am perhaps somewhat of a "throwback" because I still enjoy shooting on film, though mostly in black and white nowadays.
